The idea of refining gin with the tonka bean came to Daniel Soumikh after a trip through Spain. There he learned that the spice was not only used in the kitchen but had also found its way into the bar scene. Together with a barkeeper and a master distiller, the formulation was refined and is still bottled in small batches with around 750 bottles in a small factory near Hamburg.
Tonka Gin
Exotic tonka beans (notes of vanilla, bitter almond and spicy hay flower) meet gin, handcrafted in small batches in a factory in Hamburg. With 47% vol. perfectly suitable for G & Ts and in various cocktail and dessert variations.
