ARA AG is Austria's leading collection and recycling system for packaging. The non-profit company offers legally compliant packaging removal and consulting expertise from over 25 years of experience. With the license income, ARA organizes and finances the collection and recycling of packaging waste in Austria.

ARA has been a driving force of waste management in Austria since 1993 and therefore happens to be an international role model. It has continuously developed into a recycling expert, a driver of innovation in resource management and a preferred service partner for tailor-made circular economy.

For the collection of packaging waste, ARA provides consumers with approx. 1.86 million collection containers available. In addition, 1.7 million households are connected to the yellow bag collection. Three out of four PET bottles are already collected separately using the ARA system. This enables them to be recycled and processed into a high-quality raw material for new PET bottles.
