Public product recall: 0.5 liter PET soft drinks products of the brands Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and MezzoMix

For reasons of consistent consumer protection, Coca-Cola HBC Austria GmbH has initiated a precautionary recall specific to 0.5 liter PET lemonade products of the brands Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and MezzoMix with best-before date between 04.02.2025 and 12.04.2025.

Coca-Cola HBC Austria GmbH informs about the recall of the following products:

Specifically related to 0.5 liter PET lemonade products of the brands Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and MezzoMix
Content: 500 ml (=0.5l) only
Products: Coca-Cola (Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Zero Lemon, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Zero Caffeine, Coca-Cola Light), Fanta (Fanta Orange, Fanta Orange Zero, Fanta Lemon Zero, Fanta Exotic Zero), Sprite (Sprite, Sprite Zero) and MezzoMix.

Best before date: between 04.02.2025 and 12.04.2025 and the code "WP" below the printed date. This can be found on the back of the bottle above the label.

It cannot be ruled out that there could be small pieces of metal in a very limited number of 0.5l PET bottles due to a technical error in production. We advise against consuming the potentially affected products due to a possible health risk.

This is a precautionary measure in close cooperation with the Austrian authorities. All other pack sizes and packaging,  are not affected by this recall.

Consumers can return the 0.5l product listed above to the sales outlets of the Austrian food retail trade for a refund of the purchase price, even without presenting the receipt.

We regret the incident and apologize to consumers for the inconvenience caused.

This warning does not mean that the health risk has been caused by the producer, manufacturer, importer or distributor.
