To ensure the highest quality and safety of our products, we are continuously making physico-chemical, sensory and microbiological analyses. The ongoing improvement of our analysis methods and the further training of our team form the basis of our success and our further development in the area of quality assurance. All employees at Coca-Cola HBC Austria are responsible for quality and contribute to maintaining it at the highest possible standard.

Knowing what our products are made of and where they go

Traceability is the be-all and end-all in food production. It must be ensured that it is always possible to determine which raw materials have been used for our products and which customers have received our products. We achieve this through so-called "batch labeling" on our beverages. As part of this labeling, each individual bottle is given a best-before date and a batch code.

This makes it possible to determine at any time when and from which raw material this bottle was produced and who received it. This is an extremely relevant factor in the event of product or packaging complaints.

Officially confirmed product safety

The quality of our products is regularly tested and confirmed by Austrian and regional authorities and the Agency for Health and Food Safety AGES. In addition to internal control mechanisms, Austrian authorities quickly take appropriate samples at the production site in order to confirm product safety.

Standards ensure our quality externally

The quality management system at Coca-Cola HBC Austria is regularly reviewed and confirmed. Various certifications, internal audits and group-wide programs regarding quality, safety and the environment help us to produce and work at the highest level and with the best quality:

  • EMAS Eco Management and Audit Scheme, Community Eco-Management and Audit Scheme
  • ISO 14001 standard for environmental management
  • ISO 9001 standard for quality management
  • FSSC 22000 standard for food safety
  • ISO 45001 standard for occupational health and safety management
